The GRANDE BRASILE (“the Vessel”) caught fire on 18 February 2025 off the English coast.
Shipowners contracted SMIT Salvage BV under a Lloyd’s Standard Form of Salvage Agreement to assist the Vessel and extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished, and the Vessel was taken to the Port of Antwerp where she is currently safely moored alongside. After inspections we expect the cargo to be discharged in Antwerp.
We are the adjusters, appointed by the salvors, to collect salvage security for cargo on board the vessel at the time.
